Tales of the Abominable Snowman, or Yeti, that roams the Himalayas have been a fixture in the Nepalese, Tibetan, and Bhutanese cultures since the 1800s. There have been reports that on a trail to Mt. Everest there was footprints of these fable monsters. Professionals have tested the footprints, and it was just the footprint of a ancient extinct polar bear, and a brown bear. However, they let this myth spread around for the fun of it. A professor even joined in and took some bone, hair and scat and said it belonged to the mythical creature. They later had to admit it for the safety of the endangered bear, but people still love to joke around about it.
